My road to finding that I was Aromantic happened shortly after I accepted that Asexual was a fitting description for how I feel though one moment does pop into my head when I think about situations that if a different person where in my shoes they probably would've reacted differently. Here I go! My friends and I were invited to an event and one close friend of mine in particular was a little bummed she didn't have a partner to go with. I offered to go as her date thinking that was friends did for one another and we did have a great time but a few days later we both talked about our relationship which didn't think had changed. In the end her and a few other close friends kind of ended up being the first people I came out to (I am not out to my parents and I don't think I'll be able to do that anytime soon).
